Canine Services

  • Canine Initial appointment

    Approx. 1.5hr - £50

    Full static, dynamic, palpation and range of motion, neurological and spinal assessments, followed by tailored treatment which may include: manual therapies e.g. massage, stretching; thermotherapies; electrotherapies. Followed by home management advice, prescription of exercises and a rehabilitation/fitness programme as needed.

  • Canine Maintenance appointments

    Approx. 1hr - £40

    Every follow up appointment will begin with a shorter full assessment to allow the focus to be on treatment, which may include: Manual therapies e.g. massage and stretching; thermotherapies; electrotherapies. Suitable home exercises will be prescribed and a rehabilitation/fitness programme prescribed as necessary.

  • Canine massage sessions

    Approx. 45min - £30

    A brief movement assessment will be conducted to assess the dogs suitability for treatment, followed by massage. A couple home exercises may be prescribed.

Equine Services

  • Equine Initial appointment

    Approx. 1.5hr - £55

    A full assessment is performed including static, dynamic, range of motion, muscle health, spinal and neurological assessments. Treatment will be tailored to your animal based on these findings and may include: manual therapies e.g. massage and stretching; thermotherapies; electrotherapies. Suitable home exercises will be given, and a fitness/rehabilitation programme prescribed as necessary.

  • Equine maintenance appointment

    Approx. 1hr - £50

    Shorter full assessment to allow more focus on treatment time. Full comprehensive treatment utilising massage, stretching, thermotherapies and electrotherapies. Suitable exercises will be prescribed, and a fitness/rehabilitation programme as necessary.

  • Equine Massage sessions

    Approx. 45min - £40

    A short movement assessment will be conducted to ensure your horse’s suitability for the session, and to outline treatment areas in conjunction with a palpation assessment. A full massage treatment will be provided. Some home exercises may be prescribed.

Other animals

  • Cat physiotherapy sessions

    Initial assessment- £45; Maintenance appointments - £35

    Initial assessment usually takes 1-1.5hrs and involves a full in-depth assessment, followed by treatment.

    Maintenance appointments involve a shorter assessment to allow more time for treatment.

Supportive care

  • Canine behavioural support

    Whilst a patient and compassionate approach is always utilised during sessions to allow your dog to relax and adapt to the treatment process, Proactive also works closely with dog trainer Pawtential Instinct. This multidisciplinary approach allows integration of expert understanding of canine behaviour into the treatment approach, ensuring your dog is fully comfortable during treatment.

    This may be particularly useful for nervous dogs or dogs who may benefit from training guidance for full comprehensive treatment.
